Mystery influence

Another mysterious drawing. I started drawing the girl, then the car, and it went twisted when I drew the shovel.

I used a dip pen, India ink, and Photoshop CS5.

MrRetro Wall

Type Art

This illo makes me think of the '60's. Meant to be a wallpaper for my computer, I took a photo of some type on a window and then used it as my background.

The Donut Queen

The Donut Queen

I've been obsessed with the donut queen. I've been drawing her in my sketchbooks. It started with a postcard I own, and then it went onto various sketches. Next time I draw her, I'll have to have a donut in my mouth.

Drawn straight in ink. Adobe Photoshop CS4.

Face Down Sad

Float

Float

Lately, I've been into taking pictures and incorporating them into my art. The photo in the background is not an old one. I took it while out for a walk.

Fonts used: Strangelove by Type-Art foundry. Photoshop brush of old newspaper text.

I feel fine.

I Feel Fine

Laying in bed, I produced this image. I was thinking of a brother and sister in a small town with not much happening in their lives. The brother doesn't mind, but the girl wants to be someplace else. The Canadian geese, however, move forward. For this illo, I was aiming for an animated movie still effect. I blurred the background like they did in the old 1940's cartoons.

HB Pencil, Adobe Photoshop CS4.
